Why should we network? So that people know we exist in the creative world, what makes us stand out from the rest, what makes you an individual.
When networking do not just focus on the discipline of graphic design, but the whole creative industry as you never know when this could come in handy.
An email alone will not get you very far. You must have a reason to get in contact. Look at the website and see if there is a blog you can look at as the website alone is business and the blog is so much more.
Synergy is also important; the interaction or cooperation of two or more organisations substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.
To create our own identity. A creative CV or a list of things that float our boat.

Task; A range of ways you can network, Email, Phone, Post, LinkenIn, Skype, Face to face interaction,
Why do you wan to network? Well I will soon be a professional myself after graduating from Leeds College of Art.
Think of what you want to say before you speak to a professional, write down a few notes of which you wan to address and avoid freezing up. You also look more professional.
What do you want to tell them? Ask to look around the studio to gain interaction, see how they work and the ethos.
Most of all do something to wow them or jut get their attention. I think this can be done by a creative CV.
